On May 13, 2017 representatives of the LSoI Foundation attended the Art Festival in Peroushtitsa. This was the ninth issue of the annual festival organized Chitalishte (community library and cultural centre) Prosveta – 1862 in partnership with the Municipality of Peroushtitsa and thanks to the dedication and inspiration of Mrs. Nevena Raeva. The local Shinkyokushin Marshal Arts group also demonstrated their skills in the festival program. More than 300 participants from 11 towns and villages from 8 municipalities in the region participated in the Art Festival.

The initiative Regional Children’s Festival of Dance Arts was launched nine years ago, in 2009, as a project activity and was financially supported by the Land – Source of Income Foundation in partnership and with the financial support of the America for Bulgaria Foundation “.

The organizing and holding of the Regional Children’s Festival of Dance Arts by the Chitalishte Prosveta 1862 has already become a positive example and a very good cultural form, providing very good conditions for participation of dance groups from the Peroushtitsa region and the whole of Bulgaria. The festival has gained its own significance both in the cultural calendar of the community cultural center, and in the municipality and the region as a whole. Every year, the festival genres grow in number including competitions, exhibitions, concerts and other initiatives expanding the scope of Peroushtitsa Art Fest.

In the course of time the festival performances included vocal groups, singers and dancers from the municipalities of Rhodopi, Plovdiv, Stamboliyski, Saedinenie, Svilengrad, Maritsa, Hisar, Krichim, Pazardjik, Peshtera, Lyubimets, dance groups and the brass orchestra of Perushtitsa Municipality and many others. Participants in courses of applied art and drawing demonstrated their skills and talent in the production of souvenirs and objects of applied art and crafts.
