Our team consisting of Vesselin Trendafilov, Mariana Shishkova and I visited “LARGO”– Kyustendil in order to review funded initiatives.
- First we visited a purchased plot with building for Valeri Lekov, where we found situated bee hives, as well as new cherry tree and few vegetables planted. The land was well maintained, the building had been repaired (roof fix and new windows). We talked to the neighbors and they confirmed our good impressions.
- The second initiative we inspected was a purchased cherry orchard belonging to Metodi Metodiev. We found the trees in good condition. The expected yield would be high as the trees were full with fruits. The bad weather had caused troubles to the farmer, he shared, but he did manage to protect the fruits.
- The third initiative is another cherry orchard of the same farmer Metodi Metodiev, situated very close to the first one. Here the trees were in good condition, as well. There were single trees that need to be replaced, but we had the farmer assurance that they will be change in appropriate season.
- The forth inspected initiative regards the purchased van for folklore band „EXCEL“. The van was used frequently with more than 3000 km for a month. The van covered all the initial requirements: comfortable seats, air conditioner and storage trunk for the instruments. Folklore band „EXCEL“ was very pleased with the vehicle and had fulfilled their commitments – graduation balls, weddings and many other participations.
- On the way back we visited another initiative – a household shop in Dupnitsa. The shop was well stocked. The beneficiary had ideas to increase the range of goods offered.
