A team of experts (Vesselin Trendafilov, Dimitar Georgiev, Mariana Shishkova and Stefan Hristov) visited our partner Bydeshte Foundation, Rakitovo. They inspected the work of the foundation. We reviewed already fulfilled initiatives, as well as the opportunities for the realization of new ideas.

We got familiar with the progress of already accomplished initiative – displacement of agricultural holding outside the settlement in accordance with legal regulations. We discussed the opportunity for financing the purchase of new animals for the sheep-farm. Another topic discussed was expansion of farm buildings in order to form compartments for different age groups on optimizing animal breeding. Further consideration was funding the purchase of equipment for milk storage.

The team reviewed the proposed new initiative to fund purchase of land for a dairy farm. We discussed extensively the planned site as spoke with the beneficiary and visited the potential plot of land. The team reviewed in details the available documents for land owne rship. Next the team visited the regional office of Department of Agriculture in Rakitovo, where required information regarding the location and size of the plot, and assured that it fulfills the legal regulations for the remoteness outside settlements. The location of the plot is suitable for realization of the proposed initiative – it’s next to road with accessible utilities as electricity and water.
