Monitoring visits to our partners around the country were made this month. New proposals were also discussed on the spot. The results of the visits could be defined as “mixed”.

In Vidin the Strawberry Farm Initiative is not developing in complete accordance with the plan. A different technology was used and the crop was poorer than expected. The RIGI project experts made recommendations to the beneficiary on how to go on his activities in view of achieving greater efficiency.

On November 18 Georgi Georgiev, Georgi Markov and Veselin Trendafilov visited Kyustendil to monitor three RIGI project financed initiatives. All three were completed successfully. A hairdresser’s was equipped and already functioning; a cafe was also equipped and in function; and a cherry gardan in the village of Lilyach has been  taken good care of by its owner and a good cherry crop is expected in 2013.

On November 27 Ivan Penov and Veselin Trendafilov visited Pazardzhik to check the progress of the Snack Workshop initiative. The on-the-spot check showed that all the equipment has been bought, installed and tested. Six workers are being trained by an expert trainer.
