A team of experts (Veselin Trendafilov, Mariana Shishkova and and Stefan Hristov) we visited our partner from Yambol – foundation “Bolni ot astma”. Our goal was to review several proposals for initiatives and at the same time to check the papers of the partner concerning the implementing initiatives. The first proposal we reviewed concerned the purchase of 2 plots in village of Krumovo for raising cattle and planting orchards. Both plots were situated next to each other at the end of the village with common border, as the one was in regulation but the other was an agricultural land. This would be convenient as the animals would be grazing next to the shed. In the plot there were massive and semi-massive buildings and a shed. The proposal was good. We explained the applicant the possibilities of the program and the scheme of financing. The next steps were reviewing the papers of ownership and to negotiate the price of the plots.
The second proposal we reviewed came from a family in v. Skalica. The proposal concerned the purchase of 30 goats in order to increase their herd. Till our conversation the family had 60 goats. The goats gave approx. 2 l milk per day, which the family sold for 0,7 lv/l. Most of their incomes they reinvested in the farm. The family had searched for goats before. Apart from the purchase of goats the family would like to apply for the purchase of milking machine. We discussed both proposals. We estimated the deal to approx. 5 000 leva as the own contribution would be 1 500 leva. At a previous visit to the farm we had established that the conditions for raising more goats had been good, and the building had complied the legal requirements. The applicant had good experience raising goats. With increase of their herd there were good chances to increase their income as well. The proposal was prospective and we suggested starting searching for animals and implementation of the initiative.
Together with our partner from Yambol – Foundation „Bolni ot astma“ we reviewed the papers of the initiatives implemented so far as well as the report for the four month period. We gave recommendations for record keeping.
