On May 12-15, 2011 The Peace Corps organized a conference in Vratsa for new volunteers and their collaborators. The volunteers were introduced to their collaborators from the host organizations. The Land Source of Income Foundation has a long tradition of hosting Peace Corp volunteers and was pleased to welcome its third volunteer. Maria Chardacova represented the LSoI Foundation at the conference. She is going to be the collaborator of the new volunteer Mr. Randall Mason who is going to work in our foundation in the next two years.

The discussion sessions of the conference were focused on: expectations for the cooperation between volunteers and host organizations, cultural differences between Bulgaria and the US, main principles of cooperation between volunteers, collaborators, host organizations and the Peace Corps. The collaborators were introduced to the Peace Corps’ policies. A discussion on the experience of host organizations in the collaboration with volunteers took place.
