Between July and October 2015 representatives of the Land – Source of Income Foundation – Mariana Shishkova, Georgi Georgiev, Kroum Hristov, Sonya Tormanova, Rositsa Emilova, Dimitar Georgiev i Stefan Hristov – visited the families of students in the town of Peroushtitsa and the village of Yoakim Grouevo in order to enroll them in the Equal Chance: Access to High Education<\/em> Project.<\/span><\/p>\n Students and parents had been consulted on the phone about the eligibility criteria and the necessary documents. Then the LSoI Foundation team visited the families-beneficiaries of the progect last year, as well as other applicants from the village. The team believes that\u00a0on-the-spot visits are very important for getting to know the life style and motivation of the applying students and parents, therefore we tried to reach each and every applicant and talk with them and their families. Clarification on the project were made. The team talked with students’ parents, guardians and relatives about \u00a0 \u00a0their economic situation and discussed the necessary textbooks and public transportation travel cards which the students are in need of. <\/span><\/p>\n The LSoI team also visited the school where the project beneficiaries study – High school of viticulture and wine-producing Hristo Botev\u00a0<\/a>in Peroushtitsa and talked with the director and the teachers about the applicants for the support programm. <\/span><\/p>\n Transportation companies in the region were also visited in order to get information about the routes of busses and conditions for issuing travel cards.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t
